Pandy’s Garden Center announces the return of its Dog Days of Summer event, according to a news release.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 5, at Pandy’s Garden Center, 41600 Griswold Road in Elyria.

The event promises to bring together dog lovers from around the community, in support of the Friendship Animal Protective League.

Event highlights include:

• Costume competition for dogs, where owners can show off the sporty side of their pets. Dress them in the best Sports Themed Outfit and stand a chance to win exciting prizes.

• Activities and vendors offering a variety of pet-related products and services. Fox Veterinary will be on site to answer any pet health questions, while Moments In Time Photography will capture heartwarming moments of you and your four-legged companion.

• Fundraising opportunities where every dollar raised during the event will go directly to the Friendship APL, supporting its mission to rescue, care for and find forever homes for animals in need.

“We are thrilled to host the Dog Days of Summer Event at Pandy’s Garden Center in support of the Friendship APL,” said JR Pandy, vice president at Pandy’s Garden Center in the release. “Not only will this be an exciting day for dogs and their owners, but it’s also a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and make a real difference in the lives of animals who deserve our love and care.”
